TIPLA Holiday Party – December 12, 2014.

Dear TIPLA Members,

It’s the Holidays and things happen fast!

I want to remind you all that the TIPLA Holiday Party is This Friday, December 12th (Noon-5Pm) at the Toledo Museum of Art’s Glass Pavilion Reflections Room. The same place as last year.

We have a great hors’ devours, desserts, and an open bar set for this event. Also, John Cleveland will be providing the musical entertainment again this year.

Please let me know if you are planning on attending or not.

We are looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible and also extending our Best Wishes for the Holidays.

TIPLA November Luncheon – Tuesday 11-11-2014.

Dear TIPLA Members,

We will be having our first Luncheon meeting on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at The Toledo Club.

The lunch will begin at noon in the West Point Room on the 3rd Floor.

The menu will be a house salad followed by Chicken Marsala, Asiago Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans (yum!).

We will not be having a CLE presentation at this meeting.

I hope all of you can make this luncheon.  I look forward to seeing you there.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could RSVP for this event.

We would like to get a head count to make sure we have a large enough room (and don’t run out of food).

October 3, 2014 CLE – Doing Business In China.

Dear TIPLA Members,

2014-2015 TIPLA Membership

Dear TIPLA Members,

It seems that Summer has dwindled toward a twilight and the sounds and smells of Football Games and Tailgate parties is in the air.

It also, once again, is a new and exciting year of events for TIPLA.  Attached is the 2014-2015 Event and Membership Renewal Brochure.

As you can see we have some great events planned and CLE Activities to assist and advance everyone’s practice.

Our first event is an All-Day CLE event “Doing Business in China,” organized by Prof. Llew Gibbons at the UT College of Law.  This event is co-sponsored by TIPLA and the Toledo Bar Association.  It includes several prominent speakers and can earn you up to 7 hours of CLE credit.  That’s 7 hours of CLE for $75!  (A great value at half the member price of the TBA!)

I encourage you to mark this event on your calendars and plan on enjoying another year of TIPLA Activities.

This year the membership rate remains the same as last year (Can it get any better?).

You can mail in your dues payment (see the brochure) or you can bring the dues payment and the $75 CLE co-payment to the Fall CLE at UTLaw!

2014 TIPLA Spring Seminar – Tuesday, March 25, 2014.

The Toledo Intellectual Property Law Association (TIPLA) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the 2014 TIPLA Spring Seminar on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. This year’s seminar is entitled “Post-Grant Proceedings Under the American Invents Act: An inside look at the newly enacted trial proceedings under the jurisdiction of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.”

Date: Tuesday, March 25, 2014

Location: The University of Toledo, College of Law (McQuade Law Auditorium)

Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (registration begins @ 8:30 am)
