Dear TIPLA Members,
This year, in lieu of a spring seminar, TIPLA will be hosting a two-part luncheon series on topics related to Intellectual Property Rights in China.
Part I, which will be held this Friday, May 17, will feature guest speaker Professor Daniel Chow of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, who will discuss “Strategies to Protect Trademarks and Trade Secrets in China.” Part II will feature Tom Moga, a patent attorney with the law firm Shook, Hardy & Bacon, and also an adjunct professor at the University of Toledo College of Law, who will discuss “China’s Utility Model Patent System: Innovation Driver or Deterrent.” Each lecture will provide 1.0 credit of CLE (pending approval).
Both luncheons will be held at the Toledo Club. Doors will open at 11:45, lunch will be served at noon, and the presentations will begin promptly after lunch at approximately 12:30. Please notify me in advance if you desire a vegetarian entrée at ToledoIPLA@gmail.com.
Please RSVP for Part I by Thursday, May 16 to ToledoIPLA@gmail.com
We sincerely apologize for the late notice. Another notice and RSVP email will be sent out regarding the Part II lecture when the date of the Part II luncheon has been finalized. Please feel free to contact any of the Officers with questions or comments.
Best Regards,
